• Bones, Chapter 0.1

Introduction: This story was originally made for a competition, the winner of which would get a serialization. So, because of that, only 3 chapters had been made. Those original 3 chapters were amazing. To the point where i would personally rate this manhwa as a 9/10 or maybe even a 10/10. It was that good. (The series went on to win that competition btw).

Original 3 Chapters: The original 3 chapters portrait a dark story in which the mc had the power of regeneration and he would feel excruciating pain while he was regenerating and that power of his was so strong that he basically could not die, but that was a double-edged sword. Other S-Class awakened in the special class with S-Class awakened kids started to bully him and even hurt him physically. Without spoilers, that ended up progressing towards him feeling more and more pain, not only physically, but also mentally.  And all that reached a point in which the mc could neither live nor die. If i had to compare it with something, it would be something akin to Fire Punch. But this manhwa puts a lot more emphasis on the pain that the mc is going through and the thirst for revenge for what has happened to him, and that was the key aspect of the story that captivated me and made me like it so much.

After Serialization: The serialization took a whole 15 months to happen. And when they actually started releasing chapters, they made some changes to the art and the story. The art got improved, but the story… the story got significantly worse. They basically redrew the 3 original chapters with the new art and in doing so also added and removed some things from the story. The changes that they made to the story ended up removing the main attraction of the story. The unimaginable levels of physical and mental pain that the mc had to go through, as well as him being in a situation where he could neither live nor die. And after stripping the story of what it was, what we were left with, was just a dark edgy story.

My Opinion: It’s extremely sad what happened to this manhwa, but i think it would be worth reading the 3 original chapters and maybe reading a few of the new chapters as well, since the original 3rd chapter leaves us on a bit of a cliffhanger.
